Conclusion

DC does not have fields corresponding to many of MARC 21 fields :Fields 006-019, 025-033, 210-243, 254-257, 521-533, 584-599, etc.

In DC “contributor” covers the same element in MARC21(author, title, etc).

DC is identified using the term <label>, and Metadata are identified using the term <tag>.

Using DC could reduce the time spending cataloguing books.

Creating a record in MARC21 format is too complex because it is highly standardized.

Each DC element is optional and repeatable, and there is no defined order of element.

Creating a record in DC format is more flexible comparing with MARC21.

DC is a simple system for cataloguing Web resources format, and does not define content rules.

DC is easy to use for non-librarians because it was developed to be used by non-cataloguers

There is no minimum requirement for data in the DC record.
However, the disadvantage of this is that you couldn't decide what should be either included or exclude.
