? include("../Agriculture/headere.php") ?> Osman Aburahim is the singer in Eritrea, the voice. He started to sing at the Mahber Theater Asmara MATA. It was a kind of national theater, and he was very young, about 16 or 17 when he starts to sing in this institution. But very quickly he was taken by the Rockets, Barbuy Band and he became the main soloist there by the late 60s. Since then until nowadays, he has been the most beloved singer in Eritrea. He is a kind of icon. Everybody loves him. There are many other singers. But Osman A. is a core singer, powerfulr. He had dozens of imitators of course, but none with such vocal talent as Osman himself. His unique singing style has inspired a generation. Many of his songs open with Eri-flavour boogie grooves such as "Fekri ewor amine", "Selki qutsri hibki" over which Saxes enter with a distinctively recurring melody. When the pace slows down for "Ayfalkin gerhenety", that’s when the real magic begins. [sourceMemories of the Legends & Tunes of Eritrea Qienit]
